Every month, FBI hosts education- focused gatherings to discuss and sample selected BJCP beer styles. These meetings also provide members an opportunity to share their homebrews for evaluation and feedback. These styles meetings take place at Mashcraft in Fishers at 7:00pm on the first Wednesday of the month. Check our calendar for dates and here for upcoming styles we’ll be discussing.
On Pub Nights, club members meet for outings to tour breweries and other venues, or just enjoy an informal social gathering at a local establishment.
These gatherings are hosted once a month by a club member for special holidays and beer related celebrations.
The goal of the FBI Speaker Series is to improve the technical prowess of the membership, furthering FBI’s reputation as the premier technically advanced home brewing club in the Midwest.
The 4+ annual presentations can be on any topic but often pertain to advanced brewing techniques, detailed brewing history, and sensory analysis. Many of our members enter their homebrews in Local, Regional, and our own Club Competitions. The BJCP Judges provide them with valuable feedback for improving their recipes and brewing techniques. As seen here, FBI and its members have had great success!
Members looking to expand their beer knowledge can also volunteer to work at competitions as stewards. Serious buffs may go on to become beer judges through the Beer Judge Certification Program (BJCP). FBI takes pride in the number of our members who have attained this status.
FBI Special Events showcase our club camaraderie as we serve homebrewed beer at various public events:
